Your Personal Data

What we need

Clarendon Events is part of The Gurdjieff Society (a charity registered in England and Wales – Reg.No. 207480).The Gurdjieff Society will be what is known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. For the purposes of our mailing list we only collect and store your email address.

Why we need it

We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with the newsletter service which you requested when you subscribed to our mailing list. We will not collect any personal data from you except what we need in order to provide and oversee this service to you.

What we do with it

All the personal data we process is handled by our staff and our volunteers in the UK. We do not share your data with anyone else and no third parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. We will not use data supplied in connection with your membership of the Clarendon Events mailing list for any purpose except the operation of that list.

We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. More information on this is available from us on request.

How long we keep it

The data you provide to us will only be kept for as long as you remain a member of our mailing list.

You can unsubscribe from our list at any time by visiting our website. Your data will be deleted as soon as we process your request to unsubscribe, which will usually be within 14 days.

What are your rights?

If at any point you believe that the information we hold about you is incorrect, you can ask to see this information and to have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us and we will investigate the matter.

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe that our processing of your personal data is not in accordance with the law, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
